The gaze of the Other

“If you look at me, I become beautiful” A verse from the writer Gabriela Mistral, gives rise to some reflections about beauty, presence, existence; how we are “built” by the gaze of the Other. A series of photographs of garbage, of small remains in the street. Things we generally ignore, we don’t look at, and that suddenly exist when we pay attention to them.

La mirada del Otro

“Si tú me miras, yo me vuelvo hermosa” Un verso de la escritora Gabriela Mistral, da origen a algunas reflexiones acerca de la belleza, de la presencia, de la existencia; en fin de hasta que punto somos “construídos” por la mirada del Otro. Una serie de fotografías de basura, de pequeños restos en la calle. Cosas que generalmente ignoramos, no miramos, y que de pronto existen cuando les ponemos atención.
