While I look at one piece or another of wall, in one street or another, I think of how behind one layer of paint there is another, and another, and another…
And that leads me to reflect on how the moral, social, political, economic, and aesthetic parameters are “peeling off”, allowing a glimpse of what lies behind.
And at first, I felt a little dizzy. And I thought I had another opportunity to change the point of view.
Change perception.
Accept the void left by torn, collapsed, inoperative, useless or obsolete structures.
And only then is there room to intuit the new.
This series is formally linked in the landscapes of the streets.
Chipped, rubbed, broken. A layer that covers (and hides) other different layers.
Reality fractures, explodes, falls, but underneath lies another reality.
I find different levels of reading in each painting.
In recent years I am experimenting with different ways of working, different ways of moving the body on the surface, different attitudes in front of the canvas. Trying to unify my mind with my feelings and my body.
It is a process that I am developing, to “mutate perception”

Mientras miro un trozo u otro de pared, en una u otra calle, pienso en como detrás de una capa de pintura hay otra, y otra, y otra…
Y eso me lleva a reflexionar en como los parámetros morales, sociales, políticos, económicos, estéticos, se van “descascarando”, van dejando entrever lo que hay detrás.
Y al principio, sentí un poco de vértigo. Y pensé que me encontraba ante otra oportunidad de cambiar el punto de vista.
Mutar la percepción.
Aceptar el vacío que dejan las estructuras desgarradas, derrumbadas, inoperantes, inútiles u obsoletas.
Y sólo entonces, hay sitio para intuir lo nuevo.
Esta serie formalmente se enlaza en los paisajes de las calles.
Descascarados, frotados, rotos. Una capa que cubre (y oculta) otras diferentes capas.
La realidad se fractura, estalla, cae, pero debajo subyace otra realidad.
encuentro diferentes niveles de lectura en cada pintura.
En los últimos años estoy experimentando con diferentes maneras de trabajar, diferentes maneras de mover el cuerpo en la superficie, diferentes actitudes frente al lienzo. Tratando de unificar mi mente con mis sentimientos y mi cuerpo.
Es un proceso que estoy desarrollando, para “mutar la percepción”
